There is usually a big annual International Conference which brings everyone together. Previously, such conferences have taken place in countries as diverse as the USA, Fiji, Malaysia, Nigeria and New Zealand.

Ngure Githinji, Don Bosco Tech Africa, Kenya
Ngure Githinji has over 20 years of experience in education, training, facilitation, and capacity building. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Project Management and has worked extensively in the NGO and academic sectors to strengthen institutions and promote youth development. He is currently the Research and Development Officer at Don Bosco Tech Africa, where he leads innovation across a network of 118 TVET institutions in 34 African countries. His role combines research, programme development, and strategic partnerships to ensure that training remains responsive to market demands and effectively prepares young people for the world of work. Ngure is an accomplished academic and organisational leader. As former Registrar of Tangaza University, he was instrumental in establishing academic systems and structures, advancing institutional goals, and aligning academic priorities with sustainable organisational frameworks. He has trained over 390 educators across Eastern and Southern Africa on 21st-century teaching approaches and has supported numerous organisations in strategic planning, institutional audits, and the development of policies and processes to enhance quality and impact in education and training. A peer-reviewed author, Ngure has published articles and delivered presentations on youth, secularisation, and inclusion in academia. His work reflects a deep commitment to leveraging TVET as a vehicle for empowering young people and transforming lives across the continent.
Frank Sebastain, OJAB Austria
Mr. Sebastian FRANK holds an MSc in Strategic Management and a BA in Tourism and Leisure Industry. He has more then 15 years experience in project management in the fields of IT solutions, educational organisation and EU project planning and management. Mr. Frank has successfully managed a diverse range of projects in the fields of youth, geriatric care, vocational education and training, migration & immigration as well as multiple IT solution projects. He is the Division Manager for European Cooperations at the Austrian Young Workers Movement ÖJAB in Vienna and a board member of the EU Youth umbrella organisation YES-Forum and EVBB. Since 17 years, Mr. Frank is also a volunteer paramedic at the Austrian Red Cross.
Alpheas Shindi, TVET Consultant, Namibia
Alpheas Shindi is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) consultant with over thirty-six years of experience in the TVET sector. Alpheas has experience in electrical installation and maintenance, having undergone apprenticeship as an electrician. After competing training as an electrician and electrical technician, he lectured at Harare Polytechnic from 1988 to 2000. He rose through the ranks from Lecturer, Lecturer-in-charge, Head of Department, Head of Electrical Engineering Division and Acting Vice-Principal. This position he left joining a called Zimbabwe Occupational Standards and Services (ZOSS), which was a project conducting Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Zimbabwe. He then moved from Zimbabwe to conduct TVET transformation in Namibia. Alpheas has qualifications in business administration and management, education and training as well as curriculum and assessment development. He is an accredited DACUM facilitator and facilitator trainer by Ohio State University USA. He is currently working in GIZ focusing on green skills strategies, vocational innovation, and youth engagement tools to align training systems with 21st-century employment and sustainability needs.
Geoffrey Farrugia, HandsOn System, Malta
Mr. Geoffrey Farrugia, 41, is a seasoned technology entrepreneur with extensive experience in establishing, managing, and expanding IT start-ups. An IT graduate, he boasts over 15 years of expertise in telematics and the Internet of Things (IoT), bringing a wealth of creative and innovative skills to the industry. As the Chief Executive Officer of HandsOn Systems, his vision is to develop advanced and sustainable technological systems that provide tangible and immediate benefits to end customers. He has successfully designed and implemented numerous large-scale IT solutions for both private and public sectors. His primary interests include IoT, artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, and smart cities. Under his leadership, HandsOn Systems has emerged as a global player in the IoT sector, with multiple offices worldwide and a significant presence in Africa.
