Two sets of transitions should guide the Chilean TVET World in the near future: The formative transition and the transition from training and formation to the labour world. The former will require:
- Monitoring and attention to the new formative trajectories.
- Discontinuous trajectories.
- Ignorance of the trajectories of young people at the local level.
- Institutional articulation of the TVET offer, rationalisation of the TVET offer.
- Articulation of TVET with training for employment.
- Articulation between TVET higher education and the university world.
- The definition of equitable itineraries.
- Access and permanence in higher education.
- The multiplicity of training offers (deregulation and diversity of graduate profiles).
The second set of transitions consists of
- Securing the relevance of the training regarding the needs of the world of work.
- Facilitating the adjustment of training in curricular and technical terms.
- Mitigating the impact of inequalities between educational establishments.
- Institutionalising the relationship between TVET establishments and the workplace.
- Expanding the reach of the system of orientation and insertion support.
- Adjusting the expectations of the youngsters regarding the professional work and salary offers.
- Improving the orientation of training paths.
