Career coaching is an often overlooked and underappreciated aspect of teaching and learning. This is even more pronounced in TVET. This webinar addresses the challenges presented by inadequate coaching and also looks at ways to improve how we prepare future generations for TVET careers.

Dr Sheila Jacobs

Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer, Arkansas Tech University (Ozark Campus)

Dr. Jacobs is providing leadership and facilitation for Arkansas Tech University’s newly implemented career coaching program. Career coaches provide sustained career education, assistance and resources to help high school and college students identify and navigate their educational and career pathways. Funding for this program is provided through the state of Arkansas. Previously, Sheila served as a principal and director of curriculum, instruction and assessment in the Russellville School District. Sheila holds a doctorate in educational leadership as well as several leadership and coaching certifications.

Julie is an experienced consultant and senior leader in higher education. She is an esteemed Fulbright Specialist with over 20 years spearheading pivotal academic roles in various universities and educational commissions.
