Dr Modesto Sylvester Gomani
Regional Vice-President
He has authored with World Bank, United Nation Education, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Malawi Government, Southern African Development Countries (SADC) and the TEVET Authority. He has worked in TEVET as a Director of TEVET Programmes (6 years); A Director of Quality Assurance (3 years), Head of Planning and Research (5 years) and Industrial Liaison Specialist (7 years). Modesto has a wide knowledge of TVET systems around the World with studies conducted in India, Botswana, South Africa, Senegal, Tanzania, Mauritius, Rwanda, Namibia, United States of America, Fiji, Zambia, Mozambique, Nigeria and Malawi. He is a Social Scientist with a Master’s Degree in Economics and Demography from the University of Malawi.
He has expert knowledge and skills in Policy Development, Qualifications Framework Design and Management, TVET Quality Assurance and Quality Audit, Monitoring, Control and Programme Evaluation, Impact Evaluation Surveys and Research Design, Project Proposal Development and Resource Mobilization, TEVET Programme Designs and Management, Research and Development, Project Management and Policy Analysis, Skills Gap / Training needs assessment and Strategic Planning.
