Europe is making interesting strides in the area of Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET). With a growing awareness throughout the European Union and surrounding countries of the importance of TVET, governments and educational institutions are making a concerted effort to upgrade the quality of and opportunities in TVET.
From VET toolkits to tackle early school-leaving to events like the European Vocational Skills Week, Europe is taking TVET seriously. One of the key pushes in coming years will be the concept of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), and IVETA Europe is involved in the creation and dissemination of such a framework together with other partners.

What I can bring to IVETA:
I stand for fairness and equality in the workplace and in education. I am passionate about everyone having the right to 'be' educated, to 'feel educated,' and the freedom to 'use' that education on the same level as one's peers. This is one of the reasons that I am a passionate supporter of vocational education - for everyone - and of course, IVETA fits that role superbly. Also, through the IVETA/Skillman Conferences, I have attended many of the events both via Webinar and Zoom, and of course, in person, for example, in Malta, Dublin, Tuscany, Riga, Sardinia, Lisbon, etc.
Brief Bio:
Qualifications include: PhD
Psychology. MSc Psychology. BLAK. All forms of psychology and psychotherapy,
with education being at the forefront of that. My experience lends itself to
dealing with domestic violence, trauma, workplace behaviour, psychological
disorders, and behaviours generally. Educating people to enable them to turn
their lives around has been uppermost on my agenda for a very long time. I have
lived and worked in different countries and understand different educational
systems.
